Featured Golf Kelowna Hole – Hole #12 at Kelowna Golf and Country Club

Hole 12 at The Kelowna Golf and Country Club is surely the signature hole of Kelowna’s only private golf club. Measuring 552 yards, hole twelve presents a challenge on every shot, tee to green.

 

The ideal line off the tee favours the left side, setting up an unimpeded but blind second shot. Stray to the right side off the tee and your second shot will require some maneuvering around a host of KGCC’s tallest Ponderosas as the hole turns right slightly at 255 yards to the green. An ideal second shot places the ball on the right side of the fairway as it slopes downhill toward Eagle Pond. The fairway finally flattens out at 90 yards to the green, just as the water on the left pinches in. The large green surface is flanked on the left, back and right sides by water, quickly catching any errant approaches to the green.

 

The twelfth green starts a loop of 4 holes around the water, the centrepiece of KGCC’s back nine, providing a memorable start to Mayhem Corner!
