Black Mountain Golf Club
Named the 2018 Golf Facility of the Year by the PGA of BC, the Black Mountain Golf Club has everything that you are looking for when it comes to golf experiences in Kelowna. This includes Black Mountain Golf Club’s featured 5th hole; A visually stunning golf hole with one of the only island greens in the Okanagan.
This par 4 can play anywhere between 238 yards, to 372 yards. The hole starts off with an intimidating tee shot, as you contend with a pond along the right side of the fairway and out of bounds on the left. Focus on the fairway when hitting your tee shot… don’t let your eyes wander.
The play is to find the fairway somewhere between the 100-yard and 150-yard markers but be sure to avoid the fairway bunkers. If successful, you will have a chance to hit the beautiful and spacious island green.
It’s a wonderful hole with gorgeous homes looking down on you from high above on the slopes of the surrounding hillsides. Many birdies are made here, but far more doubles or worse are written down on the scorecard.
